2D Design Year 1: Face, Contours, Shades, Dots.

In this assignment we are to find a photo and translate its representation into dots. I chose the famous china actress Zhang Ziyi.

Although my sketch is bad and my friend said it looked more like gollum of lotr instead, i get the idea of this assignment. It makes me look at the different planes of the face and how they respond to the light source. And the dots, when viewed very near, we can't make out what it is. But when viewed from far, its Zhang Ziyi, or gollum.
